Indeed. It is bizarre that we have had to pretend for 50 years that an island 90 miles away from Miami doesn't exist. It made sense during the Cuban missile crisis, but it has been a vestige of another era for a long time that we've been stuck with because Florida is a swing state and nobody wanted to **** off Cuban immigrants.
