...i was pleasantly surprised
Richmond Times-Dispatch endorses Gary Johnson for president - Richmond Times-Dispatch: OUR OPINION

now, I'm probably not going to vote Johnson/Weld, but it was a refreshing change to see them not go with the usual just pick a Democrat or Republican we usually get.

"VAs statewide newspaper endorsed for pres. race..."

"Statewide"?

So you think people in Virginia Beach has distribution of the Richmond paper? Or care what they say?

Or Arlington, Fairfax, Culpepper, Stauton, Danville, Charoletsville, etc.?

Secondly, it appears you vote for whatever this paper tells you.

How sad. very sad.

It probably will not be the last endorsement Johnson gets given the poor choices the two branches of the incumbent party gave us this year.

In AZ, both Dem & GOP strategists are working for Gary Johnson. Bill Weld Politico 9/2 article says Debates Commission could lose their non-profit status if they don't let Libertarian Party into debates. This Sat 9/10 Johnson/Weld will be in NYC (collecting money & votes in Trump's city). Also, Richmond is the home of Hillary Clinton's VP pick Tim Kaine, so more amusement they didn't endorse her. Nearly 50% of voters are identifying themselves as independent, & most young adult voters are declaring no party affiliation.

A poll of our troops has Johnson winning over Clinton & Trump. I really wish anyone who likes Johnson/Weld would vote for them. If enough people went with their conscience, they could win. Even if they somehow fail to make the debates, Libertarian Party will get major party status with 5% of popular vote, which would get them gov't $$ for 2020. Best wishes, all.
