People are furious after pictures of a Florida Walmart's 9/11-themed Coke display began to circulate on Twitter Tuesday afternoon.
Twitter user Shawn Richard Tweeted a picture of the display, which presented Coke Zero in place of Ground Zero and spurred thousands of angry retweets about the beverage company's marketing ploy.
I dont see what's so offensive, but whatever. Its no different than images posted on tv of the towers, or posters commemorating the event, etc...
Again, we're living in this PC world where everyone is offended by something and if it hurts 1 person's feelings, then something must be done!
Nothing to do with PC, Coke was using a tragedy to advertise and sell their product, very different from "images posted on tv of the towers, or posters commemorating the event".
I suppose if you have no real life ties to the event you may not see it as sleazy.

I watched the towers come down before my very eyes as I lived in downtown Manhattan when tragedy struck.
I dont think Coke had any bad intentions or felt that it was "insensitive" to create such a display. Maybe this was their way of commemorating the event.
This is a case of people looking for things to get offended by. If anything is offensive, its those tourist with selfie sticks who go to the memorial smiling while snapping pic after pic of themselves as if its an amusement park! Selfie sticks should be banned from the memorial!
It's a Coke display, its at Walmart, what's to get offended by?
