No. I understand it, completely...

Bearing children one cannot afford to support is a CHOICE.

Failing to educate oneself is a CHOICE.

The children of such circumstances are children of CHOICE.

No, it isn't.

If I can't afford to buy a yacht, I don't buy one.

If I can't afford to support a child, I don't bear one.

Simple as that.

the dysfunctional welfare state works like this:

if you can't afford to move out of your dysfunctional family's home, and you are over 18, bearing a child is your ticket to a Section 8 apartment and escape from your dysfunctional family.

Lack the skills to get good jobs, lack the tolerance to sustain crappy jobs.

You might recall that in the years leading to welfare reform and time limits, there was a 'third group' of welfare recipients who repeatedly cycled on and off welfare while intermittently working crappy jobs until they quit or were fired or laid off, at which time they cycled back on welfare.

Same principle applies to unemployment benefits: unemployed jobholders stay on unemployment as long as they can; unemployed careerholders return to work as soon as they can.

OK, granted. But what are the odds that such children will not also be dysfunctional?

Look at yourself... You've not been able to earn/work your way out of your family's dysfunction.

If you can't afford to pay the rent, do you move out right away or do you wait until you are evicted?

I could do so if I had normal internet access. Renting is where you pay a premium for temporary, impaired use of property.

I've always been too responsible to get myself into such a situation.

If you can't afford rent, you shouldn't be living there.

BS.

The state requires you to attend school. You don't have a choice not to go.

The state supplied and mandated education given to large segments of the population was intentionally bad. Again not a choice.

Having children is a product of a biological imperative.
