No, it does not but it makes it pretty worthless.

I can understand people arguing about whether the country is better domestically - the data goes both ways. However, I don't think there is any question that Obama's foreign policy has been a disaster. The US is much less respected now than it was previously.

Do you not think that maybe, perhaps, he inherited that 'respect' from the wars and foreign policy prosecuted by previous president(s)? Note - I don't even judge by party, only by results.... If one can be objective then the answers are pretty clear, at least to me!

Bush's foreign policy sucked too. But the Russians had enough fear of him not to engage in much mischief under his watch. Then there is the fact that Obama started two new middle eastern wars.

Is there any data that shows we are worse-off domestically than we were eight years ago?

Do you have a source for that?

The Phillipines aligning with China and Russia not scared of the US comes to mind.

I don't think those two points indicate the rest of the world in general has less respect for the US.

Depends on how you define respect I guess. I'm of the opinion that in international relations, respect = fear. I'm sure you see it differently.

1. Obama is the most liked American president by foreigners probably in history. The Filipino president doesn't stand for anyone rights. Look at the worldview of Trump I don't think their is a single country that views Trump more favorably than Clinton. Besides maybe eastern Europeans(Russia included).
2. What is this obsession with fear. Have you read some Machiavelli recently...

What are "printer actions relations."

Do we have evidence that the rest of the world fears us less? Think about what was going on eight years ago. We had been fighting in actual wars that hadn't gone our way whatsoever, and insurgents in Iraq were getting the best of us. I have a hard time believing that the rest of the world feared us more then than they do now. Why would they fear us less now?
