The President has very little real power. Trump is a moron, the bigger concern is having both houses also controlled by Republicans. Fortunately they'll have no excuses in 4 years if the policies they implement dont' do jack or screw things up.

Wow. This is a depressing thread. 4 years of these complaints? Maybe Rush can cheer everyone up. Noon daily on most stations. Enjoy the education.

Yup. If he fails to deliver (and he will), and things go badly-the Republicans will be holding the reins.
I didn't like either candidate and made that clear a long time ago, but bygones are bygones, and I accept whoever wins the presidency. Like I said the presidency is bigger than the man or woman who takes the post.
I'm actually hopeful and will be interested to see what Trump starts doing. For sure he's a much better speaker and presence than Hillary, and that has to count for something on the international stage. Obviously he can handle himself under pressure as he showed during the second debate.
Hillary would have had far too much stank as president, way too many scandals and shadiness, plus her health concerns were never really addressed.
I'm feeling strangely positive, despite whatever outcome we may see. Maybe I'm still in denial or something.
A lot of people forget that Democrats and Republicans switch places at the White House at four to eight-year intervals. We had the Bushes, then Clinton, and now Obama for the last eight years. Four or eight years from now we will have a Democrat president.
