Despite the overwhelming disagreements, and possible hatred of the man, lots of Democrats wishing him well and hoping he succeeds, at least on my facebook feed.

Trump isn't Mr. "I won," shutting Dems out of the process. Obama could have gone that country-building route but specifically chose not to.

My fellow Americans and particularly my fellow 'liberals', please read this and join me. I know many of us are in shock today, but now is a time for unity and re-building. As such:
I intend to pledge my support for President-elect Trump. I will stand by him just as Republicans have stood by President Barack Obama these past 8 years! I intend to use the service and behaviors of representatives like Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell as my guide.
May the stars above have mercy on my soul...

sure. democrats are masters of manipulation.

republicans just tend to be straight up honest. you will never hear democrats saying what they mean. They will always say what people want to here: "if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor".

Just watch. this nice stuff is about positioning themselves to once again being the victims. They will pretend niceties right up until the administration does something it promised, then they will scream and whale and cry out about how their hand offered in bi-partisanship has been bitten.

Republicans you need to take notes. you need to figure out how to not tell the truth and how to reverse the whip.

“Elections have consequences.” It’s the political way for winners to tell losers: “Tough luck, you lost. Get over it.”

President Obama infamously espoused this view shortly after his 2009 inauguration, during a meeting with congressional Republicans about his economic proposals. Mr. Obama was later quoted as telling GOP leaders that “elections have consequences,” and, in case there was any doubt, “I won.”
I'm happy to see that President (elect) Trump is taking the high road. It's a shame Obama didn't have the same level of class.

Even though I'm shocked by the outcome of this election, as liberals, we can't afford to treat Trump the same way Republicans treated Obama. We have to move forward together and accept the outcome of the election, making sure that government works for all citizens.
