For those that cannot figure out how Trump won, this is much of what I was saying last night and earlier today, and is a very good explanation.
Quote:
I wrote this, or the jist of it, back on June 14. The Orlando shooting happened two days earlier (it seems so long ago), and the tenor of the arguments in the political arena in its aftermath, over immigration, guns, race, and religion were frightening. The odious, smug comments by many on the left made me believe for the first time that it was Trump's election to lose, not to win. Since then, he did a lot to try to lose, while many of his opponents did their best to keep him in the race with their own unhinged reactions. All these people were helping him. There was so much hate. I tweeted a couple of people, pointing out their toxicity was only helping Trump. That trend continued through November. In September, she put half of Trump voters in a "basket of deplorables." Clinton chose to focus largely on Trump's personal character flaws and controversial statements, without ever substantively engaging or even recognizing the concerns Trump voters said they had.

And sadly, a lot of them still don't get it.

It is all about "keeping a woman out of the WH" to some.
It is all a "whitelash" to others (see Van Jones sorry ass last night)
It all about the resurgence of the KKK to others.
It is about hate and misogyny, and racism, and Islamophobia, Homophobia, etc etc.

It was not anything to do with failed policies and a corrupt person at the top of the ticket.

Even now, the libs still can't take responsibility for anything. It is ALWAYS something else that is to blame and never the reality of the situation.

That is exactly why I posted this, and why I think it will not get any attention. Easier for liberals to blame everything else instead of dealing with the truth.

Actually many people understand why Donald Trump won... it doesn't take a genius. Trump supporters feel disenfranchised... taken advantage of... etc. The ones who didn't vote for him understand that he won't be able to solve all your problems. If anything, we had a higher respect and view of Americans to NOT stoop to such a low level.

Powerlessness corrupts and those who voted for him felt powerless in our current form of government. Trump supporters would rather ignore all the negatives of his character if it meant a chance at gaining momentum in feeling less marginalized.

The real sad part is not being able to recognize how little he can do to empower middle america. He isn't going to rain down jobs over your heads and hand them out like candy. Those who are currently employed in well paying careers will continue to get paid while those who are underemployed/unemployed in areas with low job growth will continue to decline. We aren't going back to mass manufacturing because Americans as a whole do not enjoy paying high prices for goods. The in-house manufacturing these days are for smaller batches... "artisanal products" that no one here would buy on a regular basis.

With VR technology rapidly expanding there will soon be a real solution for solving the loss of collaboration via remote work. When this happens it will be much easier to have a 100% remote workforce that doesn't need to be tied to American land. This will even be incentivize because all income can be 100% tax free up to 100,800 (https://www.irs.gov/individuals/inte...come-exclusion). Less overhead on office space, paying taxes, etc... You can have the very country you feel entitled too... all the high science, tech, finance, & healthcare income will still go to those who are educated and fit for the position.

I also know that arguing is pointless so I don't bother. We will both continue believing we are right. The difference is I will continue to be gainfully employed while those who voted for him will grasp at straws or rant online while typing on products made and assembled by minorities.

Snowflakes aren't capable of critical thinking, they were so 'insulted' by the fake stories about Trump that they just made up their mind he was the devil and ran with it, Hillary knew the sensitivity of her base and knew that she could pull their strings and get votes by default.

Anyone who says 'how can you vote for Trump' wasn't paying attention to what AFFECTS them because they were too busy thinking about what OFFENDED them.

You Trump voters are beginning to flatter yourselves a bit much. You're far too impressed with yourselves.

You voted in a guy for president...you didn't cure cancer. Voting in a candidate for president has been going on for a few centuries in this country. You won...a natural byproduct of an election between two people when one person has to lose.

No one is sitting around wondering why or how you could vote for Trump. In their minds, people who voted for Trump did so because they're clueless...or worse. The same thing you all said both times Obama won. And you haven't quit crying about that yet. Hell, you're still crying about his victory in 2008...you haven't even gotten around to whining about 2012 yet and he's almost out of office.

So there's nothing more for them to ponder. So please, quit thinking that folks are sitting around wracking their brains out try'na figure out why you voted the way you did. It ain't that serious, and no one is all that preoccupied with the topic nearly as much as you think they are.

Sorry to disappoint you.

I didn't vote for Trump, but I understand why so many did.
For 1 he wasn't Hillary. She quite simply was that bad of a choice.
For another both parties time after time made promises and then did the opposite.
Contrary to what Hillary voters might think, many of us see her for what she is. A lying fraud who pandered to illegals, special interests and big money. Her record is anything but flattering. Her failures were foreseeable and she fails to take responsibility for them. Trump is bad, but at least he didn't represent himself as more of what is wrong in DC.
20 trillion in debt. Much of it due to very bad decision making and both parties selling out. The F-35 program. Solyndra, 40 million dollar gas stations, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq. Trade deals that didn't reflect America's best interests. Wanting to bring in more refugees that even the FBI says can not be properly vetted.
America wants a change because what we have done over the last 30 simply isn't working. Hillary represented more of the same.

People that voted for Trump knew what they were getting, and it wasn't Hillary. Her voters overlooked every indiscretion and mistake she made, and believed every lie and false narrative. In the end it was they who were made out to be the gullible ones and the fools.

The sad part is they still can't accept their loser status and still try to pull things out of their collective buttholes hoping something will change.

I didn't vote for Trump either, but I agree with the premise.

"You're nothing but a hateful racist if you don't vote Hillary" isn't a winning message.
