I thought it was more of an arm-twisting tactic to force Pompeo through confirmation as Sec of State

When in actuality to have Pompeo acting as Sec of State prior to his confirmation is actually a big no-no
Sort of like doing policy before you take the oath

POTUS and his attorneys are dropping the lawsuits against Buzzfeed and Fusion GPS. Well they are pulling the circle of wagons tighter. Cohen must have some real good files that the POTUS and his lawyers are afraid of. A lot of lies soon to come back to bite the entire crew.
I don't think Trump was party to Cohen's defamation suit against Buzzfeed or Fusion GPS--
But Cohen did drop his suits
Likely they were closer to discovery and that meant opening his files and depositions
Something he likely never intended to do
And it takes money to fight a war on two fronts as Hitler discovered to his cost...
Cohen would have been fighting on three if he had kept those suits active...

But when the source of the "truth" of his lie comes from a "faux news" site only the people who care are checking up
The others--his base or those too tired to care--don't bother to look and don't care how bad the subtrifuge is
The thing that gets me is that the FCC allows lies to be broadcast as JOURNALISM---
Knowing that Fox News -- at times, maybe not always--pushes Trump's agenda and the lies -- recorded, irrefutable lies--like that is truth...
I just think Walter Cronkite is rolling in his grave...
POTUS, after his new bestest friend left, the golf course we are now paying for, went on a twitter tear.
Lying about results and finding's. Lying about just about everything.
Then something funny happened, the GOP Committee chairs released all the memo's that they were asking for.
When you read them you see that POTUS and his attorney's have some hard time ahead.
It turns out that Comey has been consistent with his statements and book. It means he is more believable then the POTUS or his GOP will ever be.
