Better than going to prison, I guess.

Trump was never in danger of going to prison over a civil lawsuit.

Businesses have contingency reserves and insurance policies for just this sort of thing. Part of the cost of doing business, where all of the trial lawyers are shilling for business. Any profession that has to have a code of ethics is intent on being unethical.

It is why trial lawyers overwhelmingly vote Democrat.

Trump doesn't want any ethical controversy affecting his being inaugurated in January. Even though it was a civil case, if he had been found guilty, those turn of events could have caused many electors to pause in December and rethink voting for Trump. That would have been a last ditch effort to make Hillary Clinton president. This was why Trump intially wanted to delay the trial until after his inauguration.Everyone knows Trump University was a scam. You wouldn't hear the end of it if Hillary were running such a scam. In the eyes of Trump Supporters, he can do no wrong, yet Hillary sends some emails and its lock her up. The hypocrisy is unbelievable.

Indeed. It was $$ well spent. Now President Trump can get to work on fixing this country.

What a scam artist.
Of course he did. He lied when he told his cult he "never settled lawsuits."

In reality he didn't want to be distracted in devoting his attention to forming a government and preparing to run the country.
His wisdom to settle and be the president people want him to be is unsettling you. Don't fear intelligence.
