Don't forget pushing granny off of a cliff. You don't want to leave out that old canard.
It wasn't that long ago that a "Conservative" would not have supported interventionists wars. They would not have supported a taxpayer bail out of a failed business. I can continue.

While Sanders may not be a "Conservative" neither are but very few Conservatives.

It's amusing to read about Britain and drawing parallels.
Theresa May the leader of the Tories (Conservatives), is to the LEFT of Hillary Clinton.

To characterize the dems as Left is bizarre.

Yes, compared to the situation in the UK, he most certainly is a conservative. He is advocating for employers being required to offer two weeks paid vacation to workers. How about the UK? Does the Conservative Party in the UK want to abolish their national health care system and implement an American for-profit system where millions go without insurance and people die by the thousands every month because they cant afford medicine?

You are just throwing meaningless labels like "centrist" and "socialist" out there without focusing on the issues. The UK is a die-hard communist country compared to America. Sanders wants to move America slightly more in the direction of what the Conservative Party in the UK support and he is demonized for it.

Is Bernie Sanders a self-proclaimed socialist, or not? So is Jeremy Cornyn, the current leader of the Labour party in the UK.

The parallels between where the Labour party is and where the Democrats are currently headed are many. They are in fact on earily similar paths.

No, he claims to be a democratic socialist but is just a run-of the mill mainstream New Deal democrat like FDR, JFK and the rest. Anyone with a basic understanding of politics knows this.

But since you refuse to look at what they actually believe and prefer lazy and meaningless labels instead, this discussion is pointless.

They railroaded him in favor of Horrible Hillary now he's a good idea 🙄 They Democratic Party is dead and will never recover to what they were 25 years ago. They allowed a whacko fringe to take over the party and push a very very bad message. They have been crushed and hold so few seats at the federal, state and local levels they are all but irrelavent except in California, New York and, I believe, Mass.

You will not see a democratic president in a generation. Most certainly if they put the whacko nut job from Michigan as the head of the DNC.

This is another instance of ignorance. This exact same thing was said of the GOP over and over.

Under Bush the GOP lost more seats to the (D)'s than the (R)'s hold now. You are mistaken if you think that can't happen again.

I get it, this is sarcasm right? Throwing the same failed statements by others back in their face?

Thats absurd. Even in the primaries, 75% of Sanders' voters were over 30 years old. You are just buying into mainstream media propaganda. Sanders crushed Hillary among independents and the white working class. It was black people and old, loyal democrats who had voted democrat since JFK and Carter who voted Hillary. If black people had voted like the rest of the electorate in the primaries, Sanders would have been the nominee.
