When economy starts failing & the country becomes desperate to survive, corruption sweeps in & destrots integrity. Fix economy, impose law & order to make integrity & character strong again.

Seriously this sort of attempt to muzzle the press via intimidation is going to backfire spectacularly. Might take a bit, but making real actual enemies with these folks is foolish.

Not long to go before the "meeting", which is slated for 9:30am today. Will Trump play the role of angry teacher with the failing student?. I think so and even the parent ticked of with the child's behavior. In any event, we will not know for sure what goes on in the room when they sit down together. There will be spin on both sides. The NYT would be advised to be gracious and dignified in their account of events. Kellyanne Conway will be as diplomatic as ever to the press afterwards.
The NYT will get a strong reminder of how out of touch they are and remain to be even after the election. Somehow the truth of coastal elite MSM ignorance was broached for a time, too short a time, then a collective denial crept in again. A short attention span they have perfected for years, hoping the public would follow suit. Not going to happen. The shady NYT is now synonymous with unfair and biased journalizm.
What Trump is doing in admonishing the newspaper is the best thing that will ever happen to them. The NYT needed some discipline to stop their own rot and decline. A firm hand will help guide them back to a better grade of news reporting. If they are to be successful, much work will have to done on Geography and Social Studies (National) as it does help cultivate an open mind and acceptance of all.

What is the media going to do, start writing hit pieces about Trump?
I don't know if Trump is scolding the media, but I would imagine he is making it clear that they can't continue to write unfounded, and outright false stories without consequences. We could very well see certain networks lose access to the White House.
Hopefully these meetings with Trump will get them back to being a legitimate, and credible source of information again.

Are you trying to say they have been friendly to him ? They should now be rewarded with special access ?
The hundreds of reporters with no ethics and admitted bias have not been doing enough harm and they need more ?
