Back then I lived in the Big Apple and voted along the Democrats, so I didn't vote for Reagan. I still remember the things people all around me said about how bad the guy was. Years later, after moving out of there, I realized how wrong I had been about the old guy. Living in the inner city is like being in a bubble; you don't know much more than what is inside. Listening to the Reagan speeches is uplifting, something one seldom hears these days.

Reagan started the massive decline of the middle class and transfer of wealth from the middle to the top. That's why he is glorified and even deified as a demi-god by the corporate elites and their mouthpieces. This propaganda effort to turn a president or former president into a type of god is quite unusual in a supposedly open and democratic country.
