There are many definitions for "score" including:

SCORE - A ground; a reason: You have nothing to worry about on that score.

. . .
Therefore "Four Score" can refer to four grounds or reasons.
Four groups of four scores, for four categories.

The complex attacks by predatory interests span across many vulnerabilities:
Health, Wealth, Production, Trade, and Security.

With 44% of the GDP taken by aggregate government, that leaves far less for the struggling American taxpayer to live on, let alone prosper.

Thus more and more become dependent upon government, swelling the ranks of the recipient class, ever seeking to vote themselves more "benefits" at the expense of others.
