Her ability to speak foreign languages is extremely common with European immigrants, it means nothing. I thought the GOP were all about English. The question is what has she actually done? Her web page was removed when it was discovered the degree she was claiming did not exist. She wants to stay in New York for a while when security for the Trump family is costing us $3 million a day already. We know she is successful at marrying Trump but so were his other wives. Are you saying Marla Maples is equally accomplished?
I know little about Marla Maples. I only remember she was one of Trumps wives. Second one, I believe. But seriously, those insulting Melania's intelligence based on her looks, or her decision to marry Donald Trump (which by the way did not happen quickly). She is not a stripper so it's not like she is coming into the White House after spending the night on stage twirling a stripper pole.... She posed nude. Tastefully nude. The female body is beautiful. I have no problem with that. I am an artist. I have sketched nudes. Photography is an art forum. Art is a form of expression.
You can taint and make Melania dirty in your own mind but that is YOUR issue, not mine. It is not 1942. The rules have changed a little bit since then. It is 2016 and if Melania does not rock your boat, that again is your issue, not MINE. And NOT America's. Please treat her with dignity. If you find a bunch of dirty things about her that you want to drag in public, that is YOUR issue again. Or you can embrace her and give her a chance.
Accusing someone of needing a "safe space" reveals this:
1) Inability to accept responsibility to being crass and/or
2) Knowing that what he/she said was crass, and is trying to defend being that way.
Said person has freedom of speech. So do we. We can call said person out for crass remarks. Looking at this objectively, this is the question. Is Michelle Obama really "hard on the eyes" or is this about something else?
Reading an Alt Right, Trump supporter on P&OC, It's always "About something else."

So, you would never have put down Michelle Obama if her history included softcore porn and nude photos?
Just checking here. Let's be clear.
You would be okay with Michelle Obama if she had immigrated here and worked on a vistor's visa (illegal, btw)?
Just checking.

I'm just happy that we have an attractive first lady elect. The current one is rather hard on the eyes.
I find Michelle to be quite attractive - best-looking first lady since Jackie Kennedy. No doubt Melania is beautiful as well. But as others have pointed out, looks have nothing to do with it. Eleanor Roosevelt and Rosalind Carter are two of the first ladies I admire.

Absolutely. Of course that's what they're doing.
But "safe space" is too ridiculous a phrase to analyze. That and "snowflake" are two of the most overused go-to insults in the Trumpster glossary, and they seem to have appeared out of nowhere in just the last few months. It's like the Trumpsters have all been reading the same manual. That, or there's a factory somewhere churning these people out.

I did not say one thing about Melania Trump's past. Not one word. I asked what she has accomplished beyond marrying Trump, that the only thing we've see is the webpage saying she had a degree was deleted when it was found that was not true.
As for treating her with dignity, I'm guessing half the country will treat her with the same level of dignity our current First Lady has been treated and Trump supporters may not like that. I said years ago that if a Republican is president they will beg for civility, quickly wanting to ignore the past eight years. We are already seeing it with the difference in how the Trump security costs are treated including Melania Trump's desire to stay in New York. If Michelle Obama had made that choice and Obama family security costs were $3 million a day, the GOP would explode. But again, I said not one word about Melania Trump's past.
She was not hired! Melania is the wife of the next President of the USA. Mind your own business. Anything wrong with having a good looking FLOTUS?
Not a thing. The problem is that we're going from a slim, fit, good-looking POTUS to...
