I think this is a serious question that needs asked. Many of the Millenials have got a huge "boost" from their parents and grandparents who saved enough money to pay for their college, wedding, 20% down on their house, pay for their car when they turned 16, etc. From the looks of it, these same Millenials aren't on track to have enough of a net worth to do any of the same for their kids. When the average net worth of a nation's citizens reaches $0 or negative, that's when it is essentially a 3rd world country even if it doesn't look like one yet.
You forgot to mention trust funds. They are the single biggest boost to real estate costs in the past 15 years. No trust fund? Pity you.
Millennials need to start pushing back HARD. They have been busy working and letting baby boomers attack them when they shouldn't have to. Republicans are working on privatizing Medicare which will be a huge humbling for baby boomers. Seniors on Medicare only pay about a third of the benefits they receive, they are depending on Millennials to pay the rest for them.
The majority of today's senior citizens are not Baby Boomers. The people we -- meaning the younger Boomers, Gen-Xers, and Millennials -- are supporting are Tom Brokaw's "Greatest Generation." And when the Baby Boomers do actually begin entering retirement en masse around 2022, the very oldest Gen-Xers will be at the peak of their earning years and a little less than a decade from receiving any retirement benefits. Those born at the tail end of X will be looking at twenty-five or so years until retirement. My point is that your generation has a lot of company in holding the bag.
You mean that 20 Trillion dollar debt you're handing over to us?
That 20 Trillion dollar debt that the president YOU voted for created you mean, Obama doubled the debt to that number. It wasn't handed to you - you created it.

Many have a free ride? Not so much. More likely we are giving them with our debts, our wars and sadly a broken social security system....

The only demo that didn't choose Obama over McCain was the Greatest Generation.
Wealth?...what have you been smoking?...arent we like 20 trillion some odd dollars in debt?...and Obama is a baby boomer by some definitions, the last time I checked...thanks baby boomers, I guess.
The boomers were hands down the greediest generation the human race will ever see. They bled every well dry they could find. And the next 50 generations will pay the price for their Greed.

I disagree. I think the Boomers were the recipients of a tremendous amount of generosity from previous generations, but I do not think that makes them greedy. And I'm not a Boomer, so don't go there.

You need to be specific. But you won't be.
