Not only that, clearly making even the smallest correction of his statements can lead to trumpertantrums on twitter, along with threats against the person and his family. Wonder who is making those threats?
So, trump said 1,100 jobs.
"Jones said Trump got that figure wrong.
Carrier, he said, had agreed to preserve 800 production jobs in Indiana. (Carrier confirmed that number.) The union leader said Trump appeared to be taking credit for rescuing 350 engineering jobs that were never scheduled to leave. Five hundred and fifty of his members, he said, were still losing their jobs. And the company was still collecting millions of dollars in tax breaks."
OMG! What a horrible thing to say about trump! No wonder he's being threatened!
"A half hour after Trump tweeted about Jones on Wednesday, the union leader's phone began to ring and kept ringing, he said. One voice asked: What kind of car do you drive? Another said: We're coming for you.
He wasn't sure how these people found his number.
"Nothing that says they're gonna kill me, but, you know, you better keep your eye on your kids," Jones said later on MSNBC. "We know what car you drive. Things along those lines.""
So, trumpists will be along to malign this guy, say he deserved it for saying something against trump, that the evil media made up lies about.... in 3..2..1..
I just call him "Tantrump" at this point. He's just so ridiculously thin-skinned and temperamental. There's a squirrel in my backyard right now that has more emotional maturity than Tantrump.
I wrote in another thread that Trump's impetuousness is going to be a problem, and this is yet another example. There is too little time between input and response with personalities like his, and it appears that he has good company on the global stage as many other just like him are coming into power. Maturity has taught me that the best response to a crisis is often watchful waiting, but people like Trump don't seem to have the capacity to proceed with caution. He furthermore appears to lack the humility to accept counsel from those who exceed him in knowledge. It's a potentially disastrous combination. I fear the next four years if Congress fails to rein him in. And, for the love of God, somebody really needs to take away his smartphone. It magnifies his very worst qualities.
Great to know Trump thinks of the little guy even in his Tweets....awesome dude!
