And why is it important that a "small business owner" benefit rather than a person who works for wages? If you cut taxes on the middle class, they have more money to spend, both corporations and small businesses benefit from that. When you lower corporate taxes they have less incentive to invest in their business and more to stow the money away offshore. I'm not sure how/when normal economic theory got turned on it's head in order to justify rewarding CEO's and multi-national corporations at the expense of the rest of us, but it is flipping crazy

Then presumably you'd be okay with getting back exactly what you put in, plus the annual rate of return on the overall stock market, but only on your contributions? Not a penny more, once it's gone, it's gone and good luck with the dog food?

Would you be okay with that?

Be *very* careful answering. Think very hard about what happens if you outlive it.

Not true at all. Government should never subsidize businesses.

I dunno what you'd call the government.

But...

Here's what the country would be called.

Corporations get enormous subsidies many say they don't need. Who are you to say it's not true even if it shouldn't be? Look it up, don't live under a rock.

10 corporate welfare programs that will make your blood boil

Pharmaceutical subsidies?

Corporate welfare and crony capitalism is reflected in a variety of different activities, including:

Direct subsidies, loan guarantees, and technical assistance programs;
Narrow tax credits to benefit certain industries;
Regulation and trade barriers; and
Congressional and presidential earmarks to reward political friends.

The government and the states get plenty of money for roads. A lot of it is wasted or goes elsewhere.

Because small business owners hire employees. Raise their taxes and they hire less and/or lay off some. I favor across the board tax cuts.

Lower corporate taxes helps the economy.

No business ever hired more employees because they got a tax cut. They hire the number of employees that they need to run their business. If taxes keep a business from hiring enough employees to sustain their economic activity they probably deserve to go out of business. And how many small businesses pay corporate taxes anyway?

Forbes Welcome

When the donor class gets billions in tax cuts and you get crumbs, someone has to pay for it. And it will be you who will be hit with increased user fees which more than eats up any tiny tax savings. Thats the whole point. Cut taxes for the people who fund the puppets you vote for and stick it to the working class. They'll continue to vote for these puppets of the donor class anyway so why should they change their ways?

Where did you come up with 15%?

It's a major scapegoat to blame Americas economic woes solely on undocumented immigrants, especially since 95% of them come to work and work more than one job.

They tend to rarely be unemployed compared to unemployed natives, many who are generational welfare recipients. Some even have children deliberately just to continue receiving benefits.
