I think he is right.. The party has hit a dead end. I considered myself somewhat liberal about ten years ago but Obama has changed it all for me and never again will I go back to that party.

Anyone else agree? Disagree? Lets have a nice discussion without insulting each other
I agree that it's very amusing to see right wing "patriots" adoring the KGB commie's words and giving them so much cred.

All those "patriots" strutting around with their flag lapel pins praising Putin and his Russian stooge.

Astounding.

In the olden days (the 1980's) the Dems in Congress always wanted to to have "dialogue" with the USSR. They also continuously obstructed and eventually killed SDI, which would have been a huge plus in our favor.

And Ted Kennedy actually communicated with a KGB agent to rig the 1984 election..

Ted Kennedy Secretly Asked The Soviets To Intervene In 1984 Elections

Like I said if Putin acted like the treasonous globalist scum Merkel you'd be on your knees in a second.

As long as Putin continues to stand for traditional values I will wish him and Russia only the best.

Sean Davis, the author @ The Federalist - the web site of the URL above - seems to have an economics background & degrees. Why was he breaking the story above in March 2015? Has he done any other work in US-Soviet relations? Does he have an Intelligence background?

Are there any major outlets covering this story?

Reagan wanted it too, and did have dialogue with them, but having dialogue is very different than taking the Donald Trump approach of praising and appeasing them.

We know laws don't apply to rich, powerful, and connected Democrats.

There are other media takes on this, just google "Ted Kennedy Russian election".

What is wrong with praising a great leader?

As for "appeasement", you mean like trying to work with Russia? Oh God, the horror!

Putin has nothing on the Clinton body count.

First OFF Putin's opinion is nothing but based on IGNORANCE about FDR..He succeeded in implementing the "NEW DEAL" after WAR.. Why the heck would he be rolling over in his grave Putzman? I know why..because propaganda and false narratives bamboozled enough Americans to bring in a complete idiot who doesn't have any filter, knowledge and only wants to conduct Govt. like he did his own business..

Government has checks and Balances..Owning own Company has NO checks and balances..Lying on media doesn't alter the fact he proved his lies in spades when forced under oath..ALL he says are not truthful..

Trump, could very well make Richard Nixon look pretty good..as the multi-levels of CONFLICT of Interests knows no bounds!! GOP Congress ..just MAY expose their true colours shortly.. It's only the beginning !!

PUTIN too lies to his Countrymen..controlled media..taking out all dissidents, murdering anyone who counters his lies... Meanwhile ..Trump wants to become Best Friends..make excuses for Putin's mass murder of innocents ( shooting down a Civilian Plane over Ukraine as just ONE example) ..then denies it..Sickening! Lying with impunity seems to be trait for these Bro's!! Please don't suggest Proof beyond reasonable doubt Cr@p.. Connect the dots...and I'm also willing to bet Putin will eventually be hauled into the Hague to face "Crimes against Humanity" charges!

Granted, these are words from Putin meant to agitate the American Trump base. The message was never meant for me personally as a registered Democrat.

However, I do believe he may be right. FDR, much like Putin himself, firmly did not believe in leaving office unless it was in a casket.
