I just finished reading the book, The Warburgs by Ron Chernow and just how accurate it is, I am not 100 % sure but, it really was interesting to me about being Jewish and addressing the question of Israel. Very informative and an excellent read.

Has anyone else read this book ?

I tend to think it is in Jews interest to keep the Dem Party beholden to their money and access to their media control because if the Jews abandoned the Dem Party, what you basically have left is the Nationalist Socialist party and the Dems would then join in wiping out Israel and afterward go after the US Jews.

A large portion of the Evangelical Republicans believe they are required to support Israel by the Bible and they do so even as the Jews do every vile thing they can to destroy these same Evangelicals.

This is comical to watch actually.

This is the most anti-Semitic administration of my lifetime. I am thoroughly ashamed of them. The line to McCarthy "Have you no decency"? comes to mind.

But for Republicans and fundamentalists, it's never enough when it comes to Israel. They believe we should put Israelis first and Americans second.
Because it is written...

How so, exactly?

Just one example: This resolution is vehemently anti-Israel, giving them no ability to truly negotiate. It is a microcosm of this administration.

This action was the worst thing his nation has done to Jewish people since turning away the St. Louis.

The US has always been supportive of Israel. Some would say almost to a fault.

Could you please explain the new dire situation as you see it?

Since Palestine would like nothing better than to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, admonishing Israel is like blaming a rape victim. I had misgivings over our pro Arab WH bending over backwards from day 1, and this week unfortunately fits into their anti-Israel outlook.

Very happy to see Obama go.

Well I too am happy to see Obama go, but this one event is up for considerable debate and so far you cannot sum it up/imply it as a nationwide anti-Israeli outlook. That's kind of reactionary and promoting anti-Muslim hysteria.

I'm sure, too, that the "wiping off the face of the earth" sentiment goes both ways.
