If the press was willing to accept such treatment from Hillary during the campaign, I know we'll all agree that Trump should be accorded no less.

But it doesn't matter. All this proposal does is move the press pool to a building across the street.

Good thing Trump isn't taking any pages from Hillary's campaign, huh?
I'm not concerned with HRC any more.

I am concerned with Trump and his very apparent disdain for one of the public institutions that made our country great.

Why? Because its the right thing to do for our country which is what any president should be concerned about.

Not really. There are questions as to whether any press will be allowed in the White House.

Absolutely false. The general public used to be able to walk right into the White House.

Perhaps another good idea would be to have a White House News Ethics Department, that Reporters who want a White House Press Credential, to submit applications for an Ethics Background check. Those who are Hostile would be rejected and lose their right to attend.
Terrible idea. Freedom of the press is freedom of the press. That's it and that's the way it works and should work. Anyone who wants to screen the press is anti-American.

From what I have read this cuts down on access to Trumps Press Secretary Staff by moving the press corp. to another location, more is not necessarily better.
Yes exactly. The press room is already open to all sorts of different types of outlets from your CNN and BBC to Joe Schmoe blogger.

If a story is a lie, its a lie no matter where it comes from. That doesn't mean you throw the baby out with the bathwater.

And you people who think Donny Boy is moving the press across the street to accommodate more press are fooling yourselves. He's doing it to duck them just like he's been doing since the election.

But I'm tired of arguing. I'm getting to the point of saying let the chips fall where they may.

This shouldnt be a surprise though. Donald Trump has demonstrated contempt for any press coverage he dislikes, openly attacking reporters in press conferences.

The destruction of our democracy marches on.
Everyone in this country should be kicking the biased media out of our lives! Journalists, long ago, failed to be journalists, and when they become true journalists one day again, then let them back in!

The current press room has a capacity of 49 seats. The Trump team wants to move them to a larger facility and include other media so they get a more balanced reporting. I can't blame them. Of course, the left is trying to twist this into "Trump banishing press from White House".
