Since 2008, as the beginning, have shown the democratic party to have lost thousands of local, state, and federal levels for all elections combined in the U.S.

In Eight Years Barack Obama Has Obliterated the Democrat Party in Record Numbers

Democratic party continues to lose these elections because of the continued divisiveness within the party and to the American voters.

Strangely enough, 2010 is right when the Republican gerrymandering changed a lot of voting districts.

Changed them so much in North Carolina that a federal judge ruled they were unconstitutional and we will be having another election this fall.

Actually, what many people do not like is what the Republicans have been doing as of late. It's why we now have a Democrat in the governor's mansion now and I suspect will have a lot more Democrats in the legislature after this fall.

I am at a loss why working people vote for Republicans. They spew around a lot of lies while robbing us blind.

All this talk of Republicans bringing back good-paying jobs is baffling. Republicans never brought good-paying jobs to workers. That was unions. Republicans have done everything they can to pull the rug out from under unions and have for decades.

Decades of conservative media brainwash has convinced the working class that Republicans are patriots, Democrats are commies, Obama is the devil, Hillary is the antichrist, climate change is a hoax, the ACA is the greatest evil perpetrated upon the US since 911, etc.

Combine all of that with willful ignorance, lack of critical thinking skills and anti-intellectualism, and voila! President Trump.

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”
― Isaac Asimov

We need to give credit where it's due. Obama accomplished something in just 8 years that Republicans have tried to do for years. Destroy the Democrat party and make them irrelevant.

See, he got the memo early on and is doing his part to Make America Great Again.

Quick, someone send him a hat!

LOL. Yeah, except for the fact that the Democrats actually gained seats in both houses and won the popular vote for president. But sure, except for those little inconvenient facts, the Democratic party has been "destroyed."

Gained seats? Democrats gained seats at the local, state, and federal levels? We do not think you know the meaning of " gains" and are using incorrectly.
