IIRC Forbes put it his inheritance at $20 million.

And yet he still couldn't manage to pay his bills and filed multiple bankruptcies. Which meant a lot of everyday, hard-working Americans were stiffed.

It is, however, entirely possible for a man of modest means and intellect to generate wealth through the right combination of work-ethic, singular focus and lucky breaks. Trump has never shown a nuanced understanding of complex topics. His vocabulary and speech patterns are not those that one would typically associate with complex thought. He lacks intellectual curiosity, a trait we often associate with smart people.
yes, he, uh, uh uh, needs to, um, uh, speak with an air of, uh uh uh, superior-uh-teeee. As if he is , uh,uh,uh wracking his brain for the uh, uh, uhhhhhh correct and most, um OFFICIAL sounding woooord.

So you're saying he needs to speak like Prof. Obama who - when speaking of prompter - uses the word "uh" more than any other word in his speech?

That's what I thought. It's easy to claim a home run if you start on third base, but even with that, multiple bankruptcies in casinos no less. The way he speaks does not sound like an adult to me so the combination of his history, his behavior and the way he speaks just conveys low intellect IMO and we are entitled to our opinions. Selling steaks from Sharper Image, Trump University, a bankrupt airline, and I've heard his debt go from zero to a billion and a half. I don't feel like we know the truth of Trump but maybe someday we will.

He was given a loan of $1m from his dad to buy his first apartment building. . . he didnt inherit money until his father passed away.

He did go to a military academy and Wharton School of Business. Neither allow "morons" to attend.

That;s the funny thing about you libbies - you belittle and demean anyone you dont like by implying their lack of intelligence.

Do you ever, jut maybe, think he speaks at a lower level to connect with more people? There's a famous author who writes at a 15 year old level - not b/c thats the level of this "intelligence" but it appeals to a wider audience and generates best sellers.

Communicators speak at the level necessary to convey their message to their audience. If you dont understand that, then perhaps it is YOU who are are the moron?

Trump received far far far more than a million dollars from his dad. Estimates are anywhere from $14 million to $40 million before his dad died.

Clinton is right about Trump's 'very small' $14 million loan - POLITICO

As for the way Trump speaks, yes, it's at a very elementary level and that may appeal to his supporters but it doesn't sound like an adult to me.

Not personal bankruptcies. Business-related. And it's certainly not a rare event, companies having to declare bankruptcies.

Considering that he has only a 40% approval rating and 75% of Americans think he is not competent to be president, he obviously was not smart enough to con most of us. Oh by the way, she got 3 million more votes than Mr. SmartyPants did, too. Without Putin, he would be a footnote. With Putin, he's just an asterisk.

polls about approval? We're supposed to believe the same pollsters that said he had no chance of winning the electoral college?

HE did win the majority of voting precincts
HE also won the majority of counties.
He won 30 of the 50 states.
And he won the vast majority of state electors.
