Stupidity. "Shar'ia law" is such an abused and overused term that doesn't really mean anything by itself. Did you know that Dubai and Malaysia follow and implement Shari'a law? People have this view that Shari'a law = Taliban law, but in reality the Taliban was practicing Pashtunwali...a tribalist system. The Ottoman Caliphate also practiced Shari'a law and the region was never more peaceful than under their rule and that is a fact.
Further having Palestinian roots does not mean "you have ties to Hamas" any more than being of German descent means you have Nazi roots or being of Chinese roots means you have ties to the communist party. Silly hysteria.
