Gorsuch, 49, is currently a judge on the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, to which he was nominated by President George W. Bush in 2006 and confirmed by voice vote. He would be the youngest Supreme Court nominee in about 25 years.

Gorsuch clerked for Judge David B. Sentelle on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and then for Supreme Court Justices Byron White and Anthony Kennedy. He attended Harvard Law, and has a Ph.D. from Oxford, where he was a Marshall Scholar. In legal circles, he’s considered a gifted writer. Like Scalia, he's also both a textualist and an originalist.

A good man. Plus he's relatively young, so could provide opinions for decades.

It could be much worse, he is not a pro life nut. As long as we can keep Ginsburg at least for another 4, or if we retake the senate in '18 we can just never call for a hearing that would be my preference.

Now..... Auntie Ruth, needs to follow up with her promise to move to New Zealand if Trump won.
We can push Andrew Napolitano to Trump.

Yep, which is likely why he's beating out Pryor right now.

Andrew Napolitano is too old to be a serious contender, unfortunately. There are still some great people on Trump's list for consideration of future openings.

The dems will confirm whoever the republicans nominate, they might make a big show about it, but they will approve the nomination.

They will save the real fight for when trump gets to appoint the second SCOTUS nominee and actually change the political leanings of the court.

This is the same reason why republicans approved obama's first two kicks without much fight but stood strong on garland.
