That was before Trump.

Things are different now. Try to keep up.

A. Murder rate has plummeted in Chicago from past years. Chicago is much safer than in the past.

B. "Liberals" prioritize improving urban violence, but they are stymied by conservatives, who refuse all gun control efforts

C. Conservatives hate big cities because it's against everything they stand for (wealthy, educated, pluralistic, etc.) so like to invent fake caricatures of inner cities for the trailer park deplorables who apparently get their "urban knowledge" from watching 1970's Charles Bronson exploitation flicks.

No it isn't, talk about keep dreaming. First time liberals have been angry in decades? Have you been living in a cave? Liberals have been angry for decades, they're only now letting their hate out for the world to see.

Since Obama was elected democrats have a net loss of 1,042 state and federal Democratic posts, including congressional and state legislative seats, governorships and the presidency. Most of the country is solidly GOP or split, outside of California and Oregon there is very little solid DNC territory.

Again, in your dreams. You think the lazy liberals are going to maintain their faux outrage for 2 more YEARS? Not way.

That being said, why is it wrong to hope and pray a terrorist attack doesnt happen. I get you context, you just worded that really weirdly.
If Democrats want to get back into power, they need to change their refugee/immigration policies. No one is saying that Democrats have to take as hard of a line as Trump, but people truly are concerned about bringing refugees into this country. Proposing increased numbers does not ease these concerns.

Where are Schumer's tears for the 1000s killed in these countries due in part to wars that he voted for and supported?

I see political pandering, not compassion.

Do you think that video of Schumer pandering to a few inconvenienced non-citizens, puts forth the message that the Democrats are looking out for Middle America?

I'm not seeing it.
Can we define middle america ?

Is that an ideology, or are you actually talking about geography ???

Either way, Democrats havent won middle America since Carter, but have been elected to 4 terms as President.

And there are indeed liberals and just simply people who disagree with you and would call themselves middle america.

Do you honestly think people in places like Montana, North Dakota, and Indiana are really upset by not letting Syrians into the country?

Democrats are out of touch if they think this should be a national campaign issue.

Because this is AMERICA and he is an AMERICAN. These next 4 years is shaping up to be another big dent in American history. You have a President, who is knowingly or unknowingly discriminating on the basis of religious faith and somehow claiming it will work. This is in direct violation of the 14th amendment to the Constitution as well as due process. How can anyone not see this? No one EVER expected that we'd have these issues happening in 2017, but here we are and that is the most shocking part.

But dont we elect leaders to do what is right, instead of what we want ?

Marco Rubio, as much as I dislike him( and his hypocrisy) articulates that argument pretty well.
