Have you seen the electoral map in 2018? Democrats are particularly vulnerable when it comes to the Senate (many Democrats are up for reelection in reliably red states), and the GOP always seems to have an advantage when it comes to gubernatorial elections.
Why isn't he crying about all the people murdered in Chicago? I guess that's not worth his tears since dems already own that city.
A. Murder rate has plummeted in Chicago from past years. Chicago is much safer than in the past.
B. "Liberals" prioritize improving urban violence, but they are stymied by conservatives, who refuse all gun control efforts
C. Conservatives hate big cities because it's against everything they stand for (wealthy, educated, pluralistic, etc.) so like to invent fake caricatures of inner cities for the trailer park deplorables who apparently get their "urban knowledge" from watching 1970's Charles Bronson exploitation flicks.
Most of the country is Liberal. Now that Liberals are angry for the first time in decades.. good luck winning any more elections. The Cons are toast after this first Trump term.

Since Obama was elected democrats have a net loss of 1,042 state and federal Democratic posts, including congressional and state legislative seats, governorships and the presidency. Most of the country is solidly GOP or split, outside of California and Oregon there is very little solid DNC territory.
Liberals hate Trump so much they will be voting in droves in ALL elections coming up. 2018 along with elections for Governors and others seats of power.
The Cons are toast. And they have their own stupidity to blame.

I actually agree with you, the problem is, thats a perception argument.
The terrorist as of late have come from counties we didnt ban or were born here and couldnt be banned if trump wanted to.
That being said, why is it wrong to hope and pray a terrorist attack doesnt happen. I get you context, you just worded that really weirdly.
If Democrats want to get back into power, they need to change their refugee/immigration policies. No one is saying that Democrats have to take as hard of a line as Trump, but people truly are concerned about bringing refugees into this country. Proposing increased numbers does not ease these concerns.

Why isn't Schumer crying for the European rape victims, slaughtered homosexuals, and deceased populace in places like Paris, Nice, Brussels, etc.?
Because this is AMERICA and he is an AMERICAN. These next 4 years is shaping up to be another big dent in American history. You have a President, who is knowingly or unknowingly discriminating on the basis of religious faith and somehow claiming it will work. This is in direct violation of the 14th amendment to the Constitution as well as due process. How can anyone not see this? No one EVER expected that we'd have these issues happening in 2017, but here we are and that is the most shocking part.
