Donald Trump removes the judiciary from being listed as part of the Government on White House website | The Independent

Quote:
Now the page that used to describe the judiciary's role in the governing of the US only reads: "Thank you for your interest in this subject".

This "removed from the WH website" stuff was proven to have been done by Obama's staff as he left office. Each administration wants their own website. The old WH site was Obama's. Trump will have his own as well.

Really? Link? Because I don't believe that the entire judiciary link has ever been removed--tweaked, yes, but not removed.

I'm sure it's all a coincidence

In the meantime I'm considering joining the ACLU at this rate.

I guess you and OP missed all the controversy about this right here on CD just after the inauguration?

Strangely (or not since we know how the media is), this is the only article I could easily find at the moment despite the fact that multiple were shared in the threads about it right after it first broke on CD. https://gcn.com/articles/2017/01/27/...links.aspx?m=1

That article discusses the removal of the previous administration's platform and issues, not information on the judicial branch.

ok, wackos, what do you think this means? Just b/c some old pages are archived doesn't mean Trump removed the judiciary from the government!

More than likely trump's team didn't like the page or the words used. After all, Obama believed the judiciary got in the way of his style of leadership.

I'd see this as a hint that Trump's next SCOTUS nomination is coming soon and the page is going to reflect the views of whomever he's going to nominate.

Just like Donald Trump to make the "alternative facts" fit his reality. Because they struck down part of his immigration ban, he doesn't want the judiciary branch to exist anymore, so with a few easy clicks, they don't anymore
