respectful to Muslims. By some estimates, 11% of the population of France is Muslim:

And what has France received as a result of this openness to Islam?

France is the number one target in Europe for Muslim extremists:

True, but are the French super duper nice to them? I have heard my liberal friends blame the host country instead of the terrorist. See you need to be EXTREMELY NICE to them so they do not blow up your cities..

After the Boston Marathon bombings we heard this type of nonsense from one of our Lefty Super Liberal elected. It was said of the bombers "if we had only shown them more love" . How stupid is that?

I'm sure that 99% of muslims are good people but it is that determined 1% that can do so much damage
to our society. How can we guard against them?
America needs to heed the lessons learned from Europe.

Conservative estimates are that about 10% of Muslims are radical, or 100 million people. Most of the other 900 million don't say much about the radical ones.

You could only consider it a learning experience if they actually learned from it. I see no signs that that has happened.

I meant a learning experience for US. we should learn the lesson from their experience that they apparently failed to learn.

Some of us have, some of us haven't. We have thankfully just transferred power from one that hasn't to one that has

Yes, that's the point really. Let's learn from France's mistake.

And let's not also keep repeating the canard that everything we do short of appeasing them and letting them flood into our country creates terrorists.

France is 11% Muslim - they have all sorts of terrorist problems.

That is a pretty substancial fighting force. Considering the size of the US military (combined, enlisted and reserve) is roughly 3 million.
