God bless him for his service. Other than sticking us with Clearance Thomas he was the last sane Republicans in my book. Had the courage to put the nation before politics and raise taxes when needed and the sanity and wisdom to refrain from unilateral action or nation building in Iraq.

I was not a big fan of the Bush Dynasty, but I've never really fully supported any president in my lifetime, and I was born when LBJ was pres, so I've been through my share.

That said, I believe Bush, Sr. and his wife are decent people and I certainly harbor no ill will towards them.

Given today's political climate, I miss politicians that had some class and intellect.

I just now heard about this (I care nothing about sports) and it is good to hear. I was saddened to learn a few weeks back that they were both ill, so I am glad they are doing well and I wish them health and happiness. Sincerely.

I like them even more, knowing that George and Barbara Bush voted for Hillary Clinton!

I was never a fan of either Bush in the WH, but it was a nice moment. I believe they're all decent people.

I agree. I remember he was a strong man and when he was president and desert storm, a coalition, in, out, the way it should be done. I was disappointed he wasn't re-elected even when he had to raise taxes. Strange, people today think nothing of raising taxes today but not in those days. They say he took his loss pretty hard. There is a terrible flu going around, some people are getting bronchitis and it can lead to pneumonia and I believe that's what happened to Bush during the inauguration. Pneumonia kills young and old. I'm glad he recovered but sadly at 92 I believe it is, it won't be long.
