The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is based in SF, and handles 20% of the nation's appellate cases.

Here is some info on the 3-justice panel that's going to hear this case.

Quote:
The three judges weighing Trump’s travel ban are on the case by virtue of having been randomly assigned to the circuit’s motions panel for this month. Senior Circuit Judge William C. Canby Jr. was appointed by Carter in 1980; Senior Circuit Judge Richard R. Clifton was appointed by Bush in 2002; and Circuit Judge Michelle T. Friedland was appointed by Obama in 2014.

Canby, who is based in Phoenix, was a first lieutenant in the Air Force in the 1950s before becoming a Peace Corps administrator in Ethiopia and Uganda in the 1960s. Clifton, who keeps his chambers in Honolulu, came to the bench from private practice, as did Friedland, who is based in San Francisco.
How 'liberal' reputation of 9th Circuit Court of Appeals is overblown, scholars say

Funny thing is one of the judges who issues a TRO against the ban is a Bush appointee. To the wingnuts, they probably assumed he was appointed by a Democrat heck, the judge that struck down the federal ban on gay marriage was none other than a Reagan appointee.

Well the great unwashed need someone to hate on. With Hillary out of the picture it appears to be Muslims and... well I guess whoever dares challenge ignorance and racism.

You are being completely disingenuous. Read the laws yourself. Would you still come out the conclusion that the EO is unconstitutional? You can't even point out where and why.

What's the point of posting this disingenuous and partisan post?

If you have a point, make a point and back it up with facts.

You forgot to mention that the 9th Circuit has many of their decisions over-turned by the Supreme Court, more so than any other Circuit Court.

Had to laugh.

Quote:
This is a borderline alternate fact story. The 9th Circus is the most overturned Circus Court in the Nation...80% of its rulings have been vacated or reversed, showing a solid trend of unlawful, activist liberalism that has been consistently overturned by what is a relatively balanced Supreme Court. The most recent en banc ruling in the Peruta case is a perfect example, showing that even constitutionally granted rights are unsafe from these left wing, activists judges. That case, and many more, will be heading to a conservative, constitution friendly SCOTUS in the near future, further entrenching the 9th's Circus' reputation as the most overturned court in America.

My sources say 68%, 77%, 80% overturn rates.
