Impeachment is definite. Day by day, the case is building itself: Immigration ban, military renting space at Trump Tower, tweets about Nordstrom's, challenges to the judiciary, charging for events Maralago,, etc. I think ultimately, the move for impeachment will come from the GOP, because he will continue to damage the brand. Plus the GOP legislators are more comfortable with a leader from the insider establishment: Pence.
Unlikely, early on I would have said impossible - but with Trump you never know. His early blunders are so ridiculously inept that it is certainly possible he could accidentally perform some felonious act, and never even realize it until it's too late. I say that because he never consults anyone about anything. Heaven forbid that he check with a lawyer or someone with experience before acting. Just blaze on and hope for the best.
I don't give a hoot if they get 100 million signatures, unless Trump commits a felony in office, the likelihood of a republican controlled congress impeaching him, much less getting him removed from office is slim to none. But you keep living the dream that a call for impeachment less than one month after someone takes office following being elected is going somewhere.
The unhinged desperation of some people is embarrassing to watch.
A president can be impeached for misdemeanors as well. "High crimes and misdemeanors" as it is worded.
However, as much as I detest Trump, "doing stuff I don't like," and "doing stupid stuff," and even "doing unconstitutional stuff" do not amount to "high crimes and misdemeanors." It didn't under Obama and it doesn't under Trump.
Because the pregnancy is part of the health of the woman and the baby. Preventing it is not.
That's like saying the government should pay for everyone's groceries, because a healthy diet prevents heart disease.
And some birth control is paid for - when being on it helps a medical condition.
Deciding to carry a pregnancy is a personal choice, just like deciding to have sex.
Why should taxpayers be forced to subsidize the result of someone deciding to have sex?
Taking birth control to prevent pregnancy is just like taking medication to prevent a heart attack.....both conditions have an impact on one's overall health.
