The (R)'s voted no on allowing us to freely buy cheaper drugs. Again, they voted no. Why?
Already addressed above. I said the Republicans who are with Trump are against it. Obviously there are are corrupt bought and paid for establishment politicians on both sides of the isle.
If Hillary had been elected nothing would have changed at all. With Trump, there's finally a chance to put an end to it.

You can say this all day but this vote happened while Trump was president. You fall back on "but Hillary"......ironic is it not after years of condemning Obama for "But Bush"?
How quickly things turn. Hillary rightfully lost. Under Trump the (R)'s voted against the free market solution to high drug prices. There is NO "But Hillary" here.
So you are basically saying the pharmaceutical companies are pricing their medicines as they see fit. So why is blame for this directed at Obamacare instead of the pharmaceutical companies?
ETA - I would really like to hear the OP's perspective on this, since I think he is coming from at totally different angle.

No doubt about it, Obamacare has been a huge success for pharmaceutical companies. Their profits have skyrocketed.
Case in point Spencer Williamson, a Clinton Foundation Partner.
Spencer Williamson, the president and chief executive officer of the Richmond, Virginia-based Kaleo Pharmaceuticals, is under fire after the price of a two-pack of Evzio, a device that treats life-threatening opioid overdoses, skyrocketed from $690 in 2014 to $4,500 today.
Democrat Senators, all who argue for Obamacare, now demand explanation.
Thankfully the Clintons were not elected. Average working person can't afford Obamacare. This is one of the reasons why.
It does not seem to have anything to do with Obamacare, even less with Clintons. It has to do with a drug manufacturer who can dictate their own price.
Stop taking Pravda, RT and Breitbart for gospel.
Capitalism is a great thing, and can make you very rich. You should try it, as opposed to always hoping for government come in and fix things for you.

Christ. Obamacare should have addressed the cost side where the pharmaceutical companies are concerned. It was the pharmaceutical and health insurance industries that wrote Obamacare.
It's absolutely crazy the number of people that will defend away failure, greed, corruption on both sides as long as it is their side doing it.
There likely is not a better example than this thread.
They do care. At least the ones who are behind Trump. They want Obamacare repealed. It's the very thing that makes this outrage possible.
So, you think if ACA is repealed, then problems like this will simply fix themselves
ACA didn't create this problem, it was always there. It did not fix it either, so keeping or repealing ACA will make no difference. To solve it they need to add to ACA, or create something new, which is add more regulations.

They are pricing it beyond what the normal market would allow them to do due to the goverment subsidies and mandates on insurance companies and individuals.
i.e.
Government -> You must buy insurance or else. Taxpayers will cover what you can't bear.
Government -> You must insure everyone no matter what or else. Taxpayers will cover what you can't bear.
Government -> Drug companies. Well nothing.
Doesn't take even an Econ 101 class to see what's going to happen here.
