The difference would be Obama had invaded 4 more countries than Bush, and tried deposing an extra one after killing one. Trump hasnt done any of those things.

Government should never be about caring, but about society as a macro, not a .0000001% micro, institution.
I am fine with local jurisdictions deciding what they wish to do on his issue.
Then we won't have equality for basic civil rights. This was the problem with gay marriage before SCOTUS thankfully had the sense to make it legal in all 50 states.
As long as we have the South, half this country will be backwards for at least some time.

Why would a (supposedly) busy new admin deal with this nonsense in their first month in office? There are so many things that simply don't make sense with this administration (I am not referring to conservative policies, but priorities and conduct).

You do realize transgenders will continue to use whatever the heck bathroom they want to right? You can slow down the social progress of this country, but you're not going to stop it. You guys will always be on the wrong side of history and will continue to lose.
Actually it's the democrats that are always on the wrong side of history. Pick up a history book. Slavery, segregation, kkk, jim crow, women oppression, etc. It has always been the republican party on the right side of these issues.
Regarding the bathrooms, the point is nobody considered the privacy, comfort, and feelings of the 99% of people who are not transgender. That is why you are still on the wrong side.
