Regarding the bathrooms, the point is nobody considered the privacy, comfort, and feelings of the 99% of people who are not transgender. That is why you are still on the wrong side.

Not only are you correct, but your right.

Stupidity by the POTUS and the next group to go after.
No it was stupid in the first place. Giving any male pervert the A-OK to go into the women's bathroom.

Yes he was completely spot on about the privacy issue which you conveniently ignored.

As long as we have the South, half this country will be backwards for at least some time.
The majority of black people live in the south. Around 60% I believe. The fact that you call them backwards even after all the progress this country has made, is disappointing. Black culture overwhelmingly is anti gay marrage btw. Remember prop 8? Even in ultra liberal CA they believe in traditional marriage. So when you want to go on a tirade against the south, just say what you really mean.

There was a handful of democrats that went republican. But you can't use those few to erase the history of your party, and take credit for what someone else did, sorry. Lincoln was the first republican. You had FDR. Pick one or the other, you can't have both LOL.

Is it dawning on anyone that we CAN'T have "equality for basic civil rights" when those right are at odds with each other? That's the point where you look at the big picture and ask yourself if civil rights is actually the issue or if it's something else entirely. I vote something else.

Laughs, missed your calling as a comedian. Anyways, fact, guys like Haley Barbour and Louie Gohmert have much more in common with the old Jim Crow Democrats than they did to the typical northeastern style Republican ala George H W Bush or Arlen Specter. I should note that Specter eventually became a Democrat not wanting to be part of the party of Tom DeLay, Trent Lott and co.

If the Republicans hadn't gone crazy on the social issues trying to bring us back to the Dark Ages, maybe you'd have a point
