Good for him. Trump is not qualified to be Commander in Chief. His son's death is a result of Trump being in WAY over his head.
Now we wait for Trump to diss Mr. Owens just as he dissed the Kahn's. That's coming. Trump has illustrated he has no respect for Gold Star families who find their voice and call him out.
Would you expect any more from a president who spit on our POWs?
Father wants answers? He needs to accept the fact that his son was an expendable asset sent off to die by cowards who would never do the same themselves.
On the one hand he wants answers but he doesn't want to meet the president.
Weird. But then again I could understand a father wanting answers if he was kept in the dark about his son's secretive job.
It isn't weird to me. I don't want to turn this sad story into a political debate (although it already is one) but to me the reason is obvious. Trump is a pathological liar and apparently this man is well aware of that fact. Also, Trump called the mission a success. Remember when John McCain said you don't use those words to describe a mission in which an American life was lost? Obama screwed up too, but one big difference is that Trump accepts no accountabiiity for anything and wants credit for everything.

His son was a dupe.
I understand this thinking but........We do need a military. It is a deterrent to others from coming here. I am 100% anti these stupid wasteful wars but I'm not anti military.
Since we have to have one they must also be able to follow orders, good or bad (note, that isn't the same as legal or illegal).
It isn't the kids fault for doing a vital job but being instructed to do something stupid.
So you agree with Obama pulling out of Iraq even as unstable as it was? Doesn't matter how we got there, what matters is what you do when it is your turn to make the decisions. Don't get me wrong I am all for staying out of the ME. We should have left Syria alone. Keep the dictators because otherwise it is a clusterf*k with no one keeping things within their own borders.
The only alternative to pulling out would be permanent occupation and we saw how that was going. Like the Vietnamese, the Iraqi`s knew one very important thing. You don`t live here and you will be going home. You pick the time that you`ll be leaving but go you will. How many more deaths and double amputations can you the American people endure, not to mention the drain on the economy? The Vietnamese kicked the Chinese out of their country more than once and one of the efforts took hundreds of years. We should stay until the country is stable? You can`t be serious.

There's such a thing as an unlawful order. This battle to maintain our crumbling empire is stupid. Supporting terrorism is worse, it's insanity.
I can't see any reason to respect those who enable such things. Sorry, I am not wired that way.

You expect Trump to give answers??
"Your son is such a loser for getting killed! I like SEALs who complete the missions alive! Some Dads are just too emotional to see that their sons are better off dead. Sad."
