President Donald Trump campaigned on a promise to lead a “worker’s party.”

He was swept to power by voters in small-towns and rural America who believed him when he said he would “rebuild your communities.” Yet, his “skinny budget” released last week pulls the rug out from the same workers and communities he promised to protect and lift up.

One in three Americans in rural counties that went for President Trump live paycheck to paycheck – 24 percent more than in urban counties. But Trump’s budget turns its back on these voters and strips resources from their families and towns.

His plan to rebuild rural communities? Cut $500 million for rural water and sewage improvements and slash $403 million in programs that help support primary care providers in rural areas, including training for nurses and physician’s assistants. The U.S. Department of Agriculture alone is cut by more than 20 percent.
Trump

After he destroys America, I hope every moron that voted for this insane POS get what coming to them!

He never promised to not cut Government jobs or benefits, and there's nothing wrong with it.

20 Trillion dollars in debt. What we've been doing isn't working.

Unfortunately, so will the rest of us.

I do wonder how long it will take some of those he is now betraying to have serious buyer's remorse.

The idea that Americans can vote to collect from the public treasury is sad. What a terrible way to make important decisions, and this is exactly what we see when that is allowed to happen.

We see all of these people complaining about cut "benefits" that should have never been there to begin with.

It's not the Government's role to pay for every aspect of your lives.

20 Trillion dollars in national debt. 9 Trillion of that is from the previous administration.

What we've been doing isn't working, and ultimately dangerous.

How about we start by firing 70% of the leeches on Capital Hill and D-O-W-N-S-I-Z-I-N-G our enormous government? Getting rid of most of the slacker politicians that get paid for doing nothing, and government organizations that are only front's for friends/family of those worthless politicians, like the
FDA, that hasn't done one thing to make our food or meds safer!

Supposed to be a government "BY THE PEOPLE,FOR THE PEOPLE".....not as a way for POS corrupt 'SLACKERS' to rob the citizens blind!

His supporters were stupid and racist enough to vote for him, and they will remain stupid and racist enough to not realize they were conned.

They will not abandon him until another even more racist bigot comes along appealing to their whiteness.

It's as simple as that.

You don't need an organized democrat to tell that the budget will hurt his core supporters. All you need to do is read the budget, see who the targets are, and make that deduction yourself.

I agree with budget cuts and always searching for them. Many of his base want to see the federal government deconstructed. That's fine. But I don't think the *ever* thought it was going to effect their own bottom line. He stood on the shoulders of the lower working class and the previous working class that has been phased out. Think Kentucky, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, etc. These people need things to keep themselves from drowning any worse than they already are. They voted for that and this budget will make their lives far worse.

On the other hand, if you happen to be CEO of Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, etc, and if you work for those companies in defense, your life is going to get VERY nice.

For hundreds of years, the wealthy elite have used propaganda to fan the flames of racism and fear in order to divide the lower classes. They have done this for the purpose of keeping the lower classes from being united (as they once were) and fighting together against the oppression of the elite. This strategy has been largely successful.

His base is too busy fighting against anyone & everyone actually trying to improve their lives due to years of loud republican propaganda that has convinced them that social welfare, free education, better/lower cost healthcare & stuff like that that could help a lot of people rise out from poverty are the devil.

I said this months ago

Quote:
He paints a picture of "Us vs Them" and "them" is anyone not white. He promises he'll make white lives better at the expense of everyone else's life and it totes won't negatively affect poor whites nope, not at all just all the other racial groups! And he does so without the dog whistles (tellin it like it is!).

What's hilarious is, his base are poor whites. Those same poor whites have been voting for laws and bills that screw over minority groups. The irony is that they have been screwing over themselves by proxy.

For years the white voting block was the most powerful, and all they did was vote in folks the enacted laws that screwed them over because it had the added benefit of screwing over blacks, women, and others.
....and look what's happening.
