At one time, I was a big fan of cable new, but rarely watch it anymore because cable news has turned into "Entertainment Tonight".

Major networks provide better quality news in the 30 minutes allocated.
Stretching out real news past a hour is stretching it too far. Just take a look at any of the network morning shows. The second hour is full of cackling hens and giggling starlets. Some of them are even going to 3 hours. It's hideous beyond belief. Unwatchable. And definitely NOT news. I don't have cable, and can't imagine so-called news, which is nothing but a bunch of twits yammering, for 24 hours. Unthinkable!

I don't know how anyone could take more than a couple of minutes of those fake, over paid, pampered, loudmouths who inhabit those programs.

Well, I hear people are getting their news from Facebook these days so you still have options.

Switch channels or turn the tv off!
If someone is paying for cable or satellite TV they are paying for those 24 news channels whether they watch them or not. The key is to cutoff their subscription revenue AND their advertising revenue. Cancel cable or satellite.

Just turn it off. I've basically done that because it's not a matter of just being partisan anymore, it's low brow, low quality news. Try the Reuters TV app - gives you a quick rundown of the day's stories reported without tilt as they should be. You'll feel much more relaxed not listening to the idiot pundits create fake controversies.

"Major networks provide better quality news in the 30 minutes allocated."

B.S.!

Their outright bias has been revealed.

Take look at the recent rape case in Md.

The 30 minute "news' did NOT give 1 minute to the story because it goes against their illegal immigrant bias.

I have said for a LONG time, it is NOT just what they report BUT, what they DON'T report!

No chance of any potential bias here:

ABC News executive producer Ian Cameron is married to Susan Rice, National Security Adviser.

CBS President David Rhodes is the brother of Ben Rhodes, Obama's Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications.

ABC News correspondent Claire Shipman is married to former Whitehouse Press Secretary Jay Carney

ABC News and Univision reporter Matthew Jaffe is married to Katie Hogan, Obama's Deputy Press Secretary

ABC President Ben Sherwood is the brother of Obama's Special Adviser Elizabeth Sherwood

CNN President Virginia Moseley is married to former Hillary Clinton's Deputy Secretary Tom Nides

"I think it was fine when it was just CNN."

Right! Ted Turner who owned CNN is a bleeding heart lib who is married to Hanoi Jane Fonda.

No chance of bias there.

How do you think t got its nickname the Clinton News Network?

Agreed, and it is poisonous. When CNN first came out, it was a quality product. Now its sensationalist crap that enflames the masses for ratings. Fox News and MSNBC just serve to further divide the population into two tribes with irreconcilable differences so we don't notice while the elite turn us back into indentured servants.

People should stop watching that crap and watch network news, read the newspapers again because we need to support a free press, and indulge our appetites for a little biased news or kardasian entertainment news on specific programs like Entertainment Tonight, Hannity, Rachel Maddow or on the internet. The rest of the time we should turn that **** off. Show those networks the back of our middle fingers.

Try it for two weeks. You'll be happier for it.

" and watch network news," WAY TOO BIASED.

"read the newspapers again"

The New York Times?

The Wash. Post?

L.A.Times?

Most ALL major newspapers are a bad as TV "news" with its bias.

You don't have a hometown newspaper? Where the hell do you live?

In print journalism, you generally just see the blatant bias in the editorials or articles credited to a specific reporter who adds opinion to his article.

Or you can just keep Fox News on all day and read Breitbart and Newsmax. No bias there.
