We're well past the point where some Americans at least wish the POTUS well, even if they're from an opposing party. We've gone beyond the "I don't like him, but whatever floats your boat." And I think we've surpassed the "Trump is an idiot" stage. It seems people will now only be satisfied if Trump crashes and burns in a spectacle of blazing humility.

If it doesn't turn out the way people hope, what will they think of their 4-8 years of fruitless ill-wishes?

Like what, exactly? Becoming president of the United States?

Schadenfreude.

That, and setting up and then knocking down political icons seems to be an American tradition, regardless of party affiliation. Heck, we do it even more with simple celebrity icons.

Me, personally? I just want a working federal government that can solve problems. If the current Republican dominated government is as inept as it seems, then damn right I'm gonna point it out and ask for better.

Last edited by djmilf; 03-31-2017 at 09:11 AM.. Reason: Fixed typo, added the celebrity icon comment

Thanks for sharing. Never heard of that word but it's especially relevant these days.

Ask the republicans who wanted Obama to fail how they feel after 8 years. That should answer your question.

Winning is clearly not everything, you know?

Why are we still hung up on winning?

So, he won the election.

What's he doing now besides spending money at an alarming rate and screwing things up?

Because, that's what I see him doing and as a voting citizen of this country, I'm allowed to complain about his every last failure.

I'm allowed, at my discretion, to give him credit for anything he might do that I like, too.

That's how a free country operates.

Stop generalizing. You sound like a fake news article. List out what he's "screwing up"?

Going to the original question, because a lot of people have a hatred for him for a number of reasons, both rational and irrational, and want to see him fail. It's that simple.

Because when tRUMP loses, the American people win.

Steve Bannon's agenda is poison to our way of life.

So every court that strikes him down, every bill that fails in Congress...those our wins for the American people and I cheer.
