40 advertisers now.
Maybe they are pulling out because the guy is a hate machine and liar? A lot of firms have decided they won't sponsor that type of show any longer.

High ground
A bigot, misogynist who works for the Republican News Outlet.... errr sorry Fox News... is a sexual predator?
Well knock me over with a feather.
Aslong as he gets decent ratings, who cares if he's a predator? It's all about money. The Conservative way.

The women who made allegations against Mr. O’Reilly either worked for him or appeared on his show. They have complained about a wide range of behavior, including verbal abuse, lewd comments, unwanted advances and phone calls in which it sounded as if Mr. O’Reilly was masturbating, according to documents and interviews.
Ugh. And people still defend this pervert. Let alone employ him! *Cringe*

Advertisers dumped Rush Limbaugh and abandoned his iHate radio.
Apparently, companies are realizing that having your brand associated with such is a poor move.
That the 25-54 demographic appears to be lining up behind MSNBC, etc. probably helped with the decision.

Not disagreeing but let's not conflate sexual harassment with rich guys buying hookers (who are in business despite the illegality of the profession).
Bill very obviously used his position and power to try to intimidate his subordinates and coworkers into doing his bidding (by doing him) - the lawsuits and subsequent settlements (plural) are just the ones who said no. I imagine there were many others who were too embarrassed to sue after agreeing. This guy deserves to lose his sponsors - then he may become radioactive to the network - no use having good ratings when no one except Viagra and Cialis are doing ad buys.
Good point. Sexual harassment is about power and control and a sense of entitlement. Most of these men could find willing partners, paid for or otherwise, if that is all they wanted.
I actually enjoy O'Reilly from time to time but he has quite the history. His now divorced wife was having an affair with a police officer from Nassau County and he tried to get the PD to investigate him. His ex ended up marrying the police officer.
He also filed a $10M lawsuit against his wife regarding how she used the divorce money, weird.

Last summer, Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly came to believe that his wife was romantically involved with another man. Not just any man, but a police detective in the Long Island community they call home. So O'Reilly did what any concerned husband would do: He pulled strings to get the police department's internal affairs unit to investigate one of their own for messing with the wrong man's lady.
