Anyone should be able to "militarize". The only reason to disarm anyone is if they're an immediate threat. Can't punish people for something they might do.

I don't see how a church protecting its own private property can force you to behave in a certain matter, however the govt sure can and does.

This is a terrible idea for so many reasons. Hopefully it doesn't hold up in court. Religious institutions should not be allowed to militarize in this country. This is a first step towards a real theocracy and that should concern everyone. The word "theocracy" is thrown around quite a bit but I think this is firmly over the line and in my opinion, the most direct threat to separation of church and state we've seen in recent history.

Wonder how a V for Vendetta type society could happen? This is how.

Constitutional under the 2nd amendment. a Well Regulated Militia.

This could lead to that. At minimum, it will lead to cover-ups of sex scandals and abuse, which happen way too often in certain types of churches. Research Jack Schaap of First Baptist of Hammond, Indiana.

When one is ignorant on the subject, the thing to do is falsely play the race card. The loony left doesn't learn.

Onward Christian Soldiers. This could shape up to be a real problem. The church is in line to receive benefits from our taxes even though they pay none. Watch the Supreme Court. It'll be on their agenda soon.

They're not going anywhere to force people to convert to Christianity, they are just protecting their own private property. Nothing wrong with that.

On the other hand, some of these Muslim refugees are coming here to America with the sole intent to kill us.

You cannot compare the two.

The argument that it can be used to cover crimes has been the case at Universities.........but......the argument standing alone does not make for a good one. It's been shown that police forces in general have been used to cover crimes.

Many schools now have police officers stationed in them. I am NO fan of that but it is what it is. A private school shouldn't get the same protection?
