I have to admit. This is maybe the most ridiculous thing any right winger has ever put up here.
ridiculous is the constant attacks on trump. Dems and the media slice and dice his words, take things out of context and treat every word literally. So when trump sacastically gives a shout out to Russia the media is agast and points to that moment as undemiable proof Trump is in league with Russia.
" "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think that you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press. Let's see if that happens. That'll be next."
Sarcasm, hyperbole, humor, imagery and metaphor are unfathomable to liberals, socialists disguised as dems and the media. Stuck in a rigid world of thought surrounded by enemies they lash out at even the most innocent words in hysterical convulsion.
The media lapdog fails to hold its masters to the same standards as its opponents, which are hertofore known as 'the enemy'.

It may have been intended as a joke, but his saying he thought maybe he shouldn't actually be saying it after thinking it earlier in the day kind of says he really did mean it. Regardless of whether he meant it or not, in a civilized society there are just some lines you don't cross. There are some things that can never be made to be funny. That others laughed along with him was in very poor taste.
I think the only thing relevant to the thread is, do you think the OP is right and posting about this honestly, meaning that the speaker was truly wanting white men to kill themselves , ( the speaker being a white man talking to white people ), or is the implication that the Maine Democratic party wants white men to kill themselves a partisan attempt to deliberately misrepresent the incident to inflame things for mindless and dishonest partisan hackery?

IM pretty sure that was part of the joke.
But this brings up something interesting, a few weeks ago, the leftist here were attacking a comic for making a similar joke, and republicans called them thin skinned.

Shoe is on the other foot now.
It isn't funny nor is it appropriate no matter who does it. Both sides should be called out when they do it.
