Reminds me of the trump iniative to stop White House admin to engage in lobbying for five years. You know, drain the swamp and all. He has already given three waivers on people that signed that oath. Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss. We won't get fooled again. But we did.

So in July the dossier said a Trump associate was offered 19% of Rosneft if Trump became president and removed sanctions. Then a sale happens in early December of 19.5% of Rosneft.

Pure coincidence or will we soon see the White House of Popular Vote Loser Trump attempting to lift the sanctions on Russia without advice and consent of Congress?

19.5% of Rosneft (Russia's State Oil Co) Sold to Unknown Parties?

But important facts about the deal either have not been disclosed, cannot be determined solely from public records, or appear to contradict the straightforward official account of the stake being split 50/50 by Glencore and the Qataris.

"The main question in relation to this transaction, as ever, still sounds like this: Who is the real buyer of a 19.5 percent stake in Rosneft?" Sergey Aleksashenko, a former deputy head of Russia's central bank,

Glencore would not comment on the identity of the Cayman Islands firm

The Qatari Investment Authority said it would not comment on the deal,
.
For one: Glencore contributed only 300 million euros of equity to the deal, less than 3 percent of the purchase price, which it said in a statement on Dec. 10 had bought it an "indirect equity interest" limited to just 0.54 percent of Rosneft.

We always knew this was the whole plan, just surprised they are not even trying to hide it. I guess they have been getting away with so much they are getting brazen.
It could be they're seeing the handwriting on the wall and decided to push this thing through while they still have the power to do so.

Paving the way for Russia to make trillions off of oil exports is a bad deal for the rest of us.

McCain tweeted out the WSJ article, saying what are they, crazy?

Perhaps he should not have voted to confirm Tillerson.

I agree with John McCain.

This is not in the best interest of the U.S.

Shades of Cheney, and Halliburton.

All those no-bid military contracts made an astounding difference in the fortunes of both.

It was all known at the time that the state department types like Condi Rice who were telling us what a wonderful smart person he was were on his payroll.

Rex Tillerson, former CEO of Exxon, now Secretary of State, is seeking permission for Exxon to bypass sanctions to buy Russian oil.

Forget the Russian ties/dossier, just look at the situation for what it is. And we wondered why Tillerson was appointed to SoS....wow. More of Trump's Billionaire cabinet members will make more billions if the sanctions bypass goes through....

Yet another issue that conservatives will have absolutely no answer for. This flat out looks BAD. I would imagine even some Trump voters are raising their eyebrows at this one.
