Indeed. Its as simple as that, really. Too many loony bins running the show who are elitist, snobbish, race-bating, etc.

You trying to say they became too much like the Republican party?

When Hillary lost, who lost: A Biased Media, Pundits, Pollsters, Political Parties, Warmongers, the Corporatocracy, Pay-to-Play Grifters, Neoliberals

Corporatocracy: which expected to once again wield unlimited influence by funding political campaigns with millions of dollars in contributions and speaking fees.

Neoliberals: Globalization boils down to freeing mobile capital to rove the globe for opportunities to strip-mine cheap resources, assets and labor and then move on, leaving ruined communities behind.

A biased mainstream, media punditry: they got it wrong from the start and remained close-minded and arrogant in their postured superiority.

Pollsters: Having rigged the polls via over-sampling and under-sampling, they were laughably wrong.

Pay-to-Play Grifters: The investigations, indictments, prosecutions and convictions began as soon as Trump is sworn in.

Bonus loser: Fake Progressives: Fake Progressives are perfectly fine with soaring inequality and corrupt governance, as long as everyone's public utterances are politically correct.

The Democratic party has become the party of the uber rich and the very poor, there's an interdependence between the two.

As for supporting "the working people"--Hillary's comment about "deplorables" summed up the unspoken view of the Democratic Party elites.

Of Two Minds - Why the Democrats Can't Let Go of Losing

Three millions more people voted for a Democrat over a Republican and your conclusion is that the nation is turning away from the Democratic Party?
