U.S. Rep. Rod Blum angrily walked out of a televised interview in front of a group of schoolchildren in Dubuque, Iowa, when pressed about screening attendees to his public meetings.

The second-term Republican got up two minutes into the KCRG-TV Monday interview, saying, “I'm done, this is ridiculous,” after being asked whether he accepts donations from outside his district.
I don't think an interview in front of a bunch of school children is the proper venue for those types of questions. Especially right out of the box.

Perhaps the good congressman shouldn't have hauled the children in...
Incidentally, the larger point is not the children but why Blum finds it acceptable to limit the town hall audience on the grounds of only addressing people of his district but taking money from whomever waves it in front of his face irregardless of location.

Why not? mAy as well teach them the truth early that the biggest swamp in the country is in Washington DC instead of the BS that Congress works for the people.
Children are not supposed to learn about politics? Why?
I think it's great for kids to get a first hand look at participatory democracy. In this case they got to watch their republican representative walk out on them. Impressionable young minds and all that. Rod Blum appears to be sowing the seeds for a new generation of democrats. Nice.
