But...you know that
Disagree since how you get them to return to their country maybe a cost you aren't willingly to pay. We let them in and took advantage of the cheap labor which caused cheap prices. Even Bush Jr passed E-Verify that would have stopped employers from hiring illegal immigrants but nobody wanted to use it..... No one is still talking about going after employers.... the root cause. Amnesty is the most sensible and cheapest choice.

It's like globalization.... US consumers wanted lower prices and businesses obliged us. Americans need to look in the mirror and realize this is their doing and suck it up.

Disagree.

No, amnesty is NOT "the most sensible and cheapest choice". We tried amnesty in 1986 and it was a disaster. Democrats promised that it would be the only and only amnesty ever (We've since had several stealth amnesties). They also promised that no illegal would ever be able to find work in this country (Currently we have 8 million no-match SSNs in the workforce. Did you know that the law says it's okay if someone uses your SSN as long as they don't use your name with it? If it happens to you, the SSA won't tell you. You only find out when the IRS comes after you for not filing a return on a job you never worked). They also promised that the border would be secured (Every day illegals sneak across the border).

Make E-verify the law of the land and run everybody in the workforce through it to weed out those 8 million no-matches. Do something about the whole birth tourism/anchor baby fiasco. Make sure that illegals can never collect welfare (and they do collect it once they birth an anchor baby). If they can't find jobs or tap into social programs, they will leave on their own accord. Would you stay someplace if you couldn't find work or collect welfare/unemployment? If they don't leave, find them and deport them.

And, yes, workplace raids need to happen again, as well as stiffer fines for hiring illegals. No argument there.

We don't have to "suck up" anything. I didn't take advantage of the cheap labor. Rather, I go out of my way to not hire illegals. Every company we hire, we ask if they pick up day laborers. If they say "yes", they don't get our business.

Sleazy employers who either hire illegals or cater to illegals are operating diseased businesses that need to die.

Jesus would say render unto Caesar that which is his. He also would tell his followers to obey the laws of the land.

How come we never get reports on the many businesses that are also sanctuaries for illegals?

What did Jesus do?
He healed the Sick, fed the Hungry, loved the poor and unwanted.

Try to find a Conservative Republican like that nowadays.
