Why does the intelligence community have no respect for Trump?

Because he openly disrespected them, and his insults had nothing to do with anything you just said.

He sabotaged his own presidency by his idiotic insults.
No, they sabotaged their own credibility to the entire WORLD! Why should Trump treat them with respect when their actions have been disrespectful to their position, our nation, and our nation's allies!

Why should he treat them with respect??????

Because they have dedicated their lives to serve their country, and Trump is their new boss. He called them nazis for crying out loud, and he suggested they have no idea what they are doing. He suggested they lied about the Russian hacking. This happened over and over.

The first thing a new leader should do it earn the respect of the people he leads, and Trump did the exact opposite. He threw away a very valuable asset. No one will sick their neck out for Trump, no one will give their 100% when they are disrespected and the people who resent him are going to leak information just to hurt him. It's already happening, and it will continue to happen. You'll see top talent leave jobs outside the agencies.

If you think Trump made a good move by insulting them, then so be it.

If they want the president's respect then they should be upholding the oath they took for the job instead of treating classified info like something to sell on eBay or publicly releasing classified information with private citizen's names unredacted unrelated to the FISA court order for obvious political reasons

I got news for ya bubster. Trump's own people leaked the british classified information to the press.

Trump's biggest thorn in his side has been the leaks in his administration and the press reporting those leaks. It makes him look bad, it makes his administration look incompetent, which they are and it undermines everything he's trying to accomplish by putting it out in the open for all to see rather than through his filters.
He has been demanding an investigation on the leaks instead of the Russian interference in our electoral process and nobody has been listening. Up until the British leaks, everyone in the investigative agencies and congress has just paid lip service to his demands for a leaker investigation.

By having his own staff secretly release the British intelligence and **** off the Brits, he can now demand that the FBI investigation pivot to the leakers and he can also push through tight restrictions on the press having access to the white house and his administration.
My personal guess is that Bannon's people leaked the information to the press.

All dictators need to muzzle the press and persecute any inside whistle blowers to be successful. Word in the cloakrooms is that when Trump returns, he will change the way his administration accesses the press and look for heads to roll within his admin to set an example for anyone who dares to whistleblow on his watch. The leaks will be his over riding agenda when he returns.

Dictators must rule in secrecy and control the message to be successful. Otherwise they inevitably are exposed for the charlatans they truly are.

Hmm, who should I believe is responsible for leaking such information to the press (who hate Trump with a passion)? The administration that just took over less than 6 months ago or intelligence agencies who've had nearly a decade of leaking classified information to the press, including for political reasons against the Republican Party? Hmmm I think I'll go with the leak coming from within the intelligence community.

Theresa May will confront Donald Trump over the stream of leaks of crucial intelligence about the Manchester bomb attack when she meets the US president at a Nato summit in Brussels on Thursday.

Trump leaked nothing.

He's just as much the recipient of such leaks.

The worthless criminal FBI, CIA, and NSA is the source of your leaks and the Trump Administration is going to endure it and fix it while simultaneously shoving Pandora's Box right straight doen Chuck Schumer and company's throats.

At this point the only thing they want is to see him go away.

Sorry, I thought Trump was in charge, but I guess I was wrong.

This is a classic Bannon-type maneuver. Throw a flashbomb to get attention focused elsewhere.

The answer is obvious. Trump openly disrespected the intelligence community, and as a result they have zero respect for him as a leader. Morale is at zero.

Why did US officers get 'fragged' in Vietnam? No respect, low morale, and worse, the servicemen felt the actions of the incompetent officers were going to get them killed.

Trumps complete lack of leadership skills caused an immediate collapse in morale, and his own people are 'fragging' him in the public arena. This may well be the first time in US history this has happened to a president.
Then they should quit. They have no right to try and force their opinions over those of the voters AND break the law they are supposed to uphold.
