2018 will probably be a good years for Dems in the house. It will not be in the Senate because 00, 06 and 12 were all years when Dems were the bigger Senate winners. It has to catch up to that class at some point. The real metric for 2018 will be how the Governorships are decided.
After such a bad legislative session led by Republicans, Oklahoma can quite possibly elect a Democrat for governor in 2018. Already 3 well experienced Democrats in politics have announced they will run. If Trump becomes less popular in Oklahoma by going under 50% in approval, that will help.
