Tell Pelosi that small business and fast food joints will just turn to "automation" and the $15 an hour workers will vaporize into dust. Of the ones that do survive, their hours will likely be cut.

No worries, these Communists will simply charge a "ghost" employee charge where they must pay for the employees that they replaced as a form of tax to help the needy people who no longer can sit like flipping useless idiots and say "would you like fries with that" and make money. Why the "goobermint" will turn this into a new tax that they claim will go to helping the needy, yet we both know this will go to filling the coffers of the corrupt officials and those they make deals with, you know... for the benefit votes, I mean those in need.

Again, min wage just went up 24% here. No hours are getting cut, and unemployment is down since Jan
No in reality there will be a bit of wage compression, but that is the goal in the first place. I know right wingers view wage compression as a boogy man, but to a limited extent, it can be a good thing
Are you insinuating that an unskilled employee is worthy of equal or superior pay to the experienced skilled employee? If this is your premise, you would be correct in assuming that I whole heartedly disagree with you.

This shows that Dems are really out of touch on the economy . A $15 national minimum wage would be disastrous especially in smaller towns.
$15 even for bigger cities is risky . Employers have already stated they intend to cut back on labor and automate as much as they can .
Unemployment is likely to go way up with a $15 min wage because demand for labor would go down .
It would add more risk for a business and getting info business is risky enough .
Of course not all businesses are the type that mostly employ min wage workers but a ton of them are .
It will make it harder for the poor to find jobs too .

I list my location, so here is Phoenix, AZ. And most prices have stayed the same. Domino's still charges the same for their 2 items for $5.99 each menu, Little Caesars is still charging the exact same for their pizza $5 large, $8 deep dish. At McDonalds the cost of the bacon egg and cheese biscuit meal with a small orange juice only went up by 0.11, or a 2% increase. So who is the liar?
