Emmanuel Macron: my handshake with Trump was 'a moment of truth'

Quote:
“Donald Trump, the Turkish president or the Russian president see relationships in terms of a balance of power, Macron said. “That doesn’t bother me. I don’t believe in diplomacy by public abuse, but in my bilateral dialogues I won’t let anything pass.”
How did French and German leaders represent American ideals more than American leadership?

If it would make the French president/bedwetter feel any safer, he is free to wave the white flag and announce his formal surrender to this potential threat.

They did not. They forfeited their citizen's best interest in favor of an invading 3rd world horde. These European leaders should be ashamed of themselves. They don't even represent French or German ideals. They represent the gravest threat that European civilization has seen in at least 60 years.

Hardly in office and the French prez shows poor judgement. doesn't bode well for France's future.

Good luck France if your prez can't see a difference between putin, tump and erdogan.

Then again what has France done to stick a finger in Putin's eye other than issuing a collective statement of indignation from Brussels a year after a crisis is over? Like the rest of Europe, they roll over for Putin, Iran and anyone where they can turn a profit no matter their human rights record.

The sounds you hear from France are are nothing more than mumblings from the nation that gave us the maginot line...the line Obama tried to replicate with Syria and his pen filled with invisible ink.

I realize this is your opinion but with all due respect it a fantasy ,none of your posted opinion is based in reality.

Wait so he kinda likes Trump ?

"I saw a leader with strong opinions on a number of subjects, which I share in part — the fight against terrorism, the willingness to keep our place in the family of nations — and with whom I have disagreements that we spoke about very calmly," Macron said.

"I saw someone who listens and who is willing to work," he added.

Nobody is going to respect this French Pres. Terrible vote by the French people. Is he even 40? He's a child. Trump will make mince meat of him.

Baloney. The PC wimps and leaders of Europe are holding the door open for the enemy. Europe has succeeded in devolving.

Thankfully, America is not so gullible. Neither is Russia. At least Putin was smart enough to ban George Soros. Europe can keep him!
