Only then will peaceful Muslims come forward and provide authorities with the information needed to halt this madness.

Situation is unfolding. Reports of car attack, shooting, and stabbings. Who done it?
White van ran into people, bad guy(s) jumped out and started stabbing people. Armed police took down stabber(s). Good on them!
The UK needs to get with the times regarding policing and guns, Canada and Australia (both British Commonwealth realms) arm all police officers. New Zealand (another British Commonwealth realm) trains and equips all police officers with guns, but carrying is optional except for certain specialist & protection/security assignments (prime minister, governor general, airports, etc) . I think the NZ approach would work quite well in the UK. This will keep happening in the UK because it is a very, very soft target as 92% of UK police officers do not carry guns. There's nobody to stop them!
In the span of 100 years, Britain has gone from owning 20% of the world to a complete and utter mess, being attacked every other weak by radical Islamic terrorists.
It's sad what's happened to that once great nation.

As horrible as what you say here is, sadly, that is about the only thing that a culture living fifteen hundred years in the past can understand. They seem to only respond to someone coming along with a "bigger gun." Sad, but true. And as you say, that will never happen--mainly because we rose above that sort of Neanderthal-like behavior about a thousand years ago, for the most part. (yes, there are exceptions)
The real question is when the rest of the world will wake up and understand what they are dealing with. Hopefully before it is too late.
